ECCP International Student Internship Program (ECCP ISIP)

The ECCP ISIP is an initiative of the ECCP Business Consultancy and Services (BCS) Department to place European students/management professionals with ECCP member companies for them to render their internship and collaborative work for a minimum of 300 working hours/ 3 months in the Philippines. This program enables European students to gain the necessary training, knowledge, exposure, values, and competency to work in a credible Filipino company, providing them with a global and integrated mindset and experience. Mutually ECCP member host companies will gain the opportunity to be competitive in cross-cultural management where they too can benefit in the workplace from the contributions of having diverse European backgrounds, foundations, and frameworks in their business operations.

Benefits for Host Companies
  • Coming from a different background, International Interns have a diverse perspective and can provide vital innovative insights that will contribute to their host organizations. Mutually, host organizations promote inclusivity and cross-cultural management for professionals of various nationalities in the workforce.
  • Being newly graduates or currently completing their studies. International interns are active, enthusiastic, and eager to share their latest academic knowledge. They are keen on applying their learnings to come up with practical work solutions. Once accustomed to their host organizations, the International Interns can handle and assist ongoing projects which leads to increased productivity and sharing of workload. They will also serve as Brand Ambassadors as they have positive work experience in the Philippines.
  • Host Companies will have the opportunity to train international interns, then attract top talent, have a recruitment pipeline, increase employer credibility, and align with their Corporate Social Responsibility goals of bridging the gap of academe and industry in developing future professionals.
European Interns Eligibility Requirements
  • Must be 2nd to 4th year Undergraduate students or Masters students from partner European Universities taking up Business Administration and Management, International Business, Economics, Marketing Management, Law, and other business or legal disciplines.
  • Strong command of the English Language and another European language (French, Spanish, German, Dutch etc.)
  • Has a strong interest to contributive in collaborative work
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced multicultural environment
  • Willing to travel and stay in the Philippines for at least 3 months.
Role of ECCP
  • Shortlisting of European interns from partner Universities
  • Matching of interns’ profiles to job requirements
  • Processing of University documents
  • Onboarding and deployment of interns to member companies
  • Post internship report and documentation.
Role of ECCP Member Host Companies
  • Provide ECCP BCS with job requirements for assessment and matching.
  • Sign the Service Agreement with ECCP BCS and MOA with the intern.
  • Hosting and training of the intern to accomplish organizational and academic requirements.
  • Shoulder intern’s expenses for the duration of stay in lieu of a grant or funding
