In recent years, the Philippines' agricultural sector has made numerous efforts to maximize the growth potentials of bamboo. If properly utilized, these high-value crops are an appealing green product alternative in local commercial and industrial spheres given its durable quality, product versatility, and crop growth sustainability. In its harvested form, bamboo can be used as a good construction material or commercial product that can catch the attention of the Philippine market.
With the success of the Bamboo webinar held last month at ECCP in partnership with the Philippine Bamboo Society of Advocates, Inc. (PBSAI) and Asec. Joan Lagunda of DENR, ECCP Cagayan de Oro/Northern Mindanao is partnering again with PBSAI to do the 3rd run of the "Untapped Green Sector: Opportunities in the Bamboo Industry III" webinar series on July 19, 2020 from 01:30 PM – 03:00 PM with guest speakers Dr. Florentino Tesoro, PBSAI President, and Mr. Jishu Basak, PBSAI Member. The aim of this webinar is to discuss Predominant Species Found in the Philippines, Viability of Bamboo as a Business, the Smart Bamboo Data Management System and an open forum among the speakers and participants to address questions and dive deeper into the Bamboo industry and its opportunities.
Now that the government is again making strides in strengthening the promotion of the local bamboo industry in 2020, the opportunity to be a part of a nationally prioritized agricultural industry is not something businesses want to miss.
