Over the years, the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in workplaces has been observed to increase dramatically. Many companies have embraced innovative digital tools to support their employees in coping with the continuous advancement of technology. Furthermore, the unprecedented shift of traditional workplaces to work-from-home setup due to the COVID19 pandemic accelerated the transformation of the how businesses will continue to work.

The World Economic Forum projects that 75 million current jobs will be displaced as artificial intelligence takes over more routine aspects of work. However, 133 million new jobs will be created, and skills in both emotional intelligence and technical intelligence, like technology design and programming, will be important. The combination of AI and human intelligence will transform work and workers as we know it.

New technologies have been showcased for ease of personal accessibility, adaptability, and usage in the remote-work era. Companies are also adjusting by integrating newer technology into their infrastructures such as cloud computing, virtual events, video communications, and cybersecurity, among others.

As part of the AI + Forum Series, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) and Fairs and More, Inc. (FMI) features the segment AI + Future of Work to shed light on the newest trends and opportunities for the workforce sector with the integration of AI such as workforce augmentation, recruitment, and AI in workplaces.
