An increasing number of young individuals are becoming interested in building Social Enterprises as they become aware of social realities and inequalities. In a 2020 report, more than 160,000 Social Enterprises exist in the Philippines since 2017. These were mostly focused on tackling unemployment and poverty, and empowerment of the local community and marginalized groups.

Social innovation has been rapidly growing globally, with an increasing number of innovators developing new ideas, government policies that support social innovation, and an enhanced interest in the concept by the youth. Social innovation is seen as an element in students' development, especially in fostering communication skills, empathy, problem-solving, and analytical thinking.

In line with the rise of Social Enterprises, this webinar would like to support Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in implementing social innovation through programs or curriculums to introduce, aid, and support the youth in the path to Social Entrepreneurship.

Join us on March 30, 2021, from 9:00am to 10:30am via Zoom as we discuss Social Entrepreneurship specifically, the integration of Social Entrepreneurship to students' curriculum, factors, and challenges to consider in building a Social Entrepreneurship Program in HEIs, and Social Entrepreneurship education during a pandemic.
