COVID-19 has been making a major blow on Mindanao’s economy since the first quarter of 2020. Assessments of its impact were still being finalized as well as plans of actions for the recovery and rehabilitation of the said economy. Both the government and private sector were closely coordinating in order to come up with a common plan of action and way forward.

The Davao City Chamber of Commerce and Industry Inc.'s 4th General Membership Meeting, in partnership with European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, will talk about “Mindanao Economic Perspective” on 29 May via Webinarjam. Dr. Cielito Habito, Chairman of Brain Trust Knowledge and Options for Sustainable Development Inc. and Dr. Fermin Adriano, Special Adviser to the Secretary of Agriculture will be sharing their insights on assessing long term growth for Mindanao and their thoughts on the economic outlook for Mindanao amid COVID-19 pandemic.
