Deep Dive: Navigating Labor Law Issues under the Enhanced Community Quarantine
At present, companies wrestle with the effects of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) as the pandemic continues to disrupt global supply chains, drag financial markets into all-time lows, and drain the health of the world’s economy and population. From a business perspective, challenges include the transition to flexible work arrangements, as well as compliance with legal and human resource-related obligations in response to the unfolding COVID-19 pandemic.
In partnership with Villaraza & Angangco, the ECCP will feature experts from the Firm and the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) who will provide an in-depth discussion on recent labor-related issuances including, but not limited to, the following:
- DOLE Department Order No. 209 or the “Guidelines on the Adjustment Measures Program for Affected Workers Due to the Coronavirus Disease 2019”;
- DOLE Advisory No. 09-20 or the Implementation of flexible work arrangements; and
- Recent developments on SSS, PhilHealth, among many others.
This webinar will be an excellent opportunity for businesses to be fully informed on the newly issued labor-related measures for ease of compliance.
