"Classical Music with a Twist - A Cancer Awareness Concert", The Season of Life : Joy, Hope, and Love, is an evening concert with cocktails scheduled for September 5, 2015 at the Ballroom of New World Makati Hotel. The highlight of the evening is a performance by the multi-awarded Steinway artist Yoonie Han. A classical music ensemble, a jazz band and other musical performers will also be invited to join Dr. Han. The band and other performers will put a twist in the concert. The program for the evening will include a Mystery Auction, Open and Silent Auctions, and a Raffle Draw with minor and major prizes.

Ticket Price: PHP3,800 (early bird PHP3,600).

Envisioned as an evening concert with cocktails that will help raise funds for cancer patients through the Philippine Cancer Society and The Love Movement for Project KC & Others. The event will consist of classical music performances and other musical entertainment, a raffle draw, a Mystery Auction to provide a twist of the unexpected, and a dance to cap the night.

PROFILE OF THE MAIN ARTIST

South Korean pianist Yoonie Han has won top prizes in distinguished international competitions and the highest accolades for her poetic performances in major concert halls in the U.S. and around the world.

Ms. Han was honored with the Gawon Music Award in 2009, as the "most brilliant pianist aged 17 to 31 of any nationality who possesses the most promising potential for global prominence." She is the first-prize winner of the Washington International Piano Competition, the Fulbright Competition, Juilliard’s Gina Bachauer Piano Competition, the World Piano Competition, and the Kosciuszko Chopin Competition, and has garnered major prizes at the Helsinki Maj Lind International Piano Competition, Concorso Pianistico Ettore Pozzoli Internaziole, Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize, and the Recontre International Piano Competition in Paris. Following her 2001 grand-prize award in the Korea National Music Competition, the Korean Ministry of Culture named her its "most promising young artist." She is the recipient of the "Brava!" award by the Italian Academy Foundation.

Dr. Han received a Bachelor’s degree from the Curtis Institute of Music, and a Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School, and is completing her Doctorate at SUNY Stonybrook. Yoonie Han is a Steinway Concert & Recording Artist.

OTHER ENTERTAINERS

The Philippine Philharmonic Ensemble will be invited to be part of this event. Other invited performers include jazz musicians as well as opera singers

PROCEEDS FOR THE EVENT

The Sponsors will directly pay their donation to the Philippine Cancer Society (PCS) and the PCS to issue a Tax Donation Certification to cash sponsors.

The other organization where the proceeds will go is the Love Movement for their Project KC & Others (project for cancer patients’ provision for daily supplements, and operation support (if any)). 70% of Proceeds will go to PCS and 30% will go to Love Movement.
