Anna has strong experience in creating Marketing Plans & Strategies that caters from the Elite to the Mass Market Segments ranging from B2B to Consumer Marketing. She has successfully launched products in the retail mobile industry and consumer banking. She has managed iconic brands such as Tatler and American Express in the Philippines. Her career in marketing has spanned more than 15 years and with it has made her well versed in areas such as crisis management, public relations, and digital marketing as she has taken many marketing roles throughout her career.
Anna has an MBA from Ateneo Graduate School of Business and also completed her post graduate degree in Digital Marketing from the Asian Institute of Management. A highly motivated individual Anna also has her own food retailing business that caters to the mass segment which she continues to expand.
Formerly the Director of Operations of the National Council of Entrepreneurial Tech Transfer (NCET2) in Washington, DC, Ria was responsible for managing overall NCET2 operations and executing programs and projects aimed at creating startups from university and federal lab IP. Before joining NCET2, she was a Program Officer at the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines for a European Commission-funded project to create corporate university-government cooperation programs to increase the Philippines’ human resource capabilities of the Business Process Outsourcing industry. She successfully created training programs to re-tool university faculty to update them on current BPO practices and formed partnerships with BPO companies and universities for manpower development. She was also an Industrial Ecology Project Officer for a United Nations Development Program-funded project under the Philippines & Board of Investments. She worked with global manufacturing corporations and industrial estate managers to implement a new pollution management system within industrial zones. Ria has an MS in Environmental Science and a BS in Environmental Planning. She also completed a postgraduate degree in Digital and Social Media Marketing from the University of Hong Kong.
