Financial inclusion plays a critical role in promoting long-term and equitable national growth. In a fast-evolving market, financial inclusion helps ensure that financial services put equitable access and the welfare of the public at the forefront.
The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, in its National Strategy for Financial Inclusion, aims to reduce disparities in financial inclusion, improve financial health and resilience, empower and increase financial capability of consumers, and increase access to finance for MSMEs, through the use of technological advancements and deepened multi-sector partnerships.
In this context, the ECCP and its Special Committee on Open Finance and Financial Inclusion (SCOFFI) are organising a Kapihan Session, on 14 July 2023, 10:00am to 12:00nn, at PruHouse (Ortigas). This activity seeks to provide a platform for productive discussions on government and private sector initiatives and collaboration on open finance and financial inclusion.
Confirmed to join this session are BSP Deputy Governor Chuchi Fonacier, Pru Life UK President and CEO and ECCP SCOFFI Vice Chair Mr. Eng Teng Wong, and UBX Managing Director for Open Finance Mr. Jaime Garchitorena.
