Through the "e-Residency: launchpad towards European business opportunities", the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines in partnership with the Republic of Estonia intends to guide Filipino professionals and entrepreneurs who wish to establish an entity in the EU through the Estonian e-Residency. During the briefing, distinguished speakers and representatives will feature the e-Residency program and the Estonian simple online business management. It will give each participant a deeper understanding of the outstanding business opportunities that this program represents when it comes to doing business in Europe.
Estonia currently occupies a prominent position among the leading countries in e-government and is renowned for its technological advances in the digital field, acting as a beacon of futuristic social progress. Estonia is the first country to offer e-Residency, a government-issued digital identity, and status that gives access to Estonia's transparent business environment and the wider European market. Since the introduction of the program in 2014, 93,000 people have received e-Residency, and more than 22,000 businesses have been created. Revolutionizing the way of doing business, the success of the e-Residency program has been recognized by entrepreneurs from around the world. Starting a business through e-Residency is not only a way to benefit from the European market, but also Estonia's digital economy. Indeed, e-Residency gives entrepreneurs secure access to a wide range of Estonian public and private e-services: from banking to state services to tax filing. Moreover, as Estonia has been ranked 1st in the Tax Competitiveness Index for the past 8 years, in addition to the advantage of managing their EU-based business remotely, entrepreneurs will benefit from a unique business-friendly environment.
The European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines will offer you a multitude of opportunities in partnership with the Republic of Estonia government that will benefit you throughout the process of setting up your business in the EU through the e-Residency program.
