The breakout sessions are aimed at highlighting the potential power of one driver to initiate action in a collective way in order to achieve energy efficiency.

1. Private & Government Buildings

This session will discuss demand trends for energy efficient buildings and best practices in greening buildings particularly reducing energy consumption, the need for energy efficient buildings from the perspective of users and locators (e.g. BPO/IT Companies, other multinational corporations, etc.) and the status of the government’s program to make their buildings/facilities/operations energy efficient. This group will also dialogue with government on their role as a driver of energy efficiency advocacy and look into opportunities for assisting the government in their drive to be energy efficient.

2. Low Carbon Economic Zones and Green Supply Chains

This session will discuss the importance of making locators energy efficient as a contribution to lowering the carbon footprint to international buyers/clients, the cooperation of PEZA and Energy Smart/ECCP in helping locators launch their energy efficiency programs; how to engage big players in industries that have high energy consumption levels to adopt energy efficient measures and how to engage their supply chain partners to do the same to achieve a lower carbon footprint in their operations.
