NORECO II exec invited to speak at 3rd Cebu Energy Efficiency Forum

DUMAGUETE CITY, July 11 - The general manager of the Negros Oriental II Electric Cooperative (NORECO II), Eunora Sameon, has been invited to speak during the 3rd Cebu Energy Efficiency Forum on July 16 at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Cebu City.

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is organizing the said activity. Sameon is invited to discuss the Customer’s Perspective on Systems Loss.

NORECO II, a Green Core Geothermal, Inc. customer, will present its System Loss Reduction Project. This project is currently being pursued by GCGI as one of its value-adding services to the coop.

The theme of CEEF 2013 is “Sustaining the Energy Efficiency Initiatives in the Philippines”. A range of topics on energy efficiency policy and governance, energy efficiency in government and private buildings and low carbon economic zones and supply chains, energy management technologies and financing, will be discussed. CEEF now in its third year aims to present the results of the energy efficiency initiatives and projects of partners led by the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines through its Energy Smart Program, and other stakeholders.

This collective effort of ECCP and its partners and stakeholders is aimed at contributing to the national effort of ensuring energy security and the low carbon future via energy efficiency measures by enlisting the private sector’s commitment on the implementation of energy efficiency programs at the enterprise level; by strengthening partnerships and broadening alliances with various stakeholders from the private sector, government, civil society, academe and international organizations; and by promoting greater visibility for innovative approaches and sustainable solutions on energy efficiency.

The activity will focus on “Sustaining the Energy Efficiency Initiatives in the Philippines”. The objective of the forum is to engage the forum participants in the collective actions that the Energy Smart program is initiating at 2 levels of interventions: (1) Government and Private Buildings (2) Economic Zones and Industrial Supply Chains. The activity includes a technology showcase where leading companies and solutions providers exhibit their products and services as well as technical briefing sessions by companies that exhibit to present technical sessions to those who visit the exhibition.
