AIMING to promote energy efficiency programs, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) will hold the third Cebu Energy Efficiency Forum on July 16 at the Radisson Blu Hotel.
With the theme “Sustaining the Energy Efficiency Initiatives in the Philippines,” the forum seeks to engage people from the private and public sectors on ECCP’s Energy Smart program.
The forum will tackle the importance of energy efficiency to address climate change issues while achieving business competitiveness. It will also discuss the institutionalization and sustainability of energy efficiency initiatives and the enhancement of business competitiveness by using renewable sources of energy to cut the impact of carbon emissions.

This includes energy efficient lightings, wind and solar technologies among other solutions. More than 10 companies are expected to present technical briefing sessions to attendees for free.
Officials from government agencies and private companies are expected to attend the event. These include heads of local government units from Regions 6, 7 and 8, executives, real estate developers, non-government organization officials, engineers, energy consultants and university professors. Department of Trade and Industry 7 Director Asteria Caberte and Department of Energy Undersecretary Loreta Ayson will also be present during the forum.
