The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) team was represented at the official launch of the Bangsamoro Agri-Enterprise Programme (BAEP) in Cotabato City on 15 January 2024. The Bangsamoro Agri-Enterprise Programme (BAEP) is a five-year initiative funded by the European Union through an Agreement with the Government of the Republic of the Philippines, with a value of EUR 20 million or over PHP 1.2 billion.

ECCP is one of BAEP’s implementing partners for the BAEP Creating Responsible Sustainable Competitive Enterprises (CRESCENT) project. The BAEP CRESCENT is a 4-year project that commenced on November 8, 2022, and will conclude on November 7, 2026. Its three main objectives are to design and implement a private sector-led agribusiness development and promotion strategy, increase the pool of BARMM agribusiness MSMEs that are ready for investment and export promotion; and grow investments and exports in the BARMM agribusiness sector.

The BAEP CRESCENT will pave the way for BARMM agribusiness enterprises to enhance their organization and performance, as well as their competitiveness. These programs will bolster their readiness for investment and business partnerships, preparing them to access new markets outside BARMM.

Attending the official launch (from left to right) are BAEP CRESCENT’s Project Director Mr. Florian Gottein, Output 1 Coordinator (Advocacy/Research) Ms. Sophia Ordoña, Communications Coordinator Ms. Gen Anaquita, and Project Manager Mr. Gerry Constantino.
