The International Trade Center (ITC), in collaboration with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), is currently implementing a study that aims to assess the Philippines’ utilization of the European Union’s Generalized Scheme of Preferences Plus (EU GSP+); and develop targeted policy responses to enable relevant export sectors from the Philippines to strengthen utilization of preferences in the EU market. This study is being undertaken under the scope of the ASEAN Regional Integration Support – Philippines Trade-Related Technical Assistance (ARISE Plus Philippines) programme, funded by the European Union (EU).
As a part of the study, the ECCP invites its members to participate in an online survey being administered by the ITC, in collaboration with the DTI, to gather relevant information and insights from exporters in order to better understand the extent to which the Philippines has benefitted from the EU GSP+ scheme, the challenges faced by exporters in exporting to the EU and claiming tariff preferences, and how GSP+ utilization can further be strengthened to enhance trade with the EU.
The online survey is accessible through this link: https://forms.gle/Yz59RGgEpToZJurP7.
Inputs from exporters/businesses is extremely important for us to understand the specific challenges/issues in this regard and will significantly enrich this study, and will help us to develop policy responses well-aligned with the needs of the business community in the Philippines.
Deadline of responses is on 10 July 2022.
