Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 31)— Local airlines have announced numerous flight cancellations as Metro Manila shifts to stricter COVID-19 quarantine measures until August 20.
In an advisory on Saturday, flag carrier Philippine Airlines (PAL) said several domestic flights won't take off during the period of the heightened general community quarantine (GCQ) and the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) amid restrictions on non-essential travel.
Below is the list of canceled PAL flights:
Affected passengers may opt to rebook their flights to a later date, refund their tickets, or have their tickets converted into travel vouchers.
Budget carrier Cebu Pacific also listed flights that will be canceled during the stricter lockdown period.

Affected passengers will be notified of their suspended trips.
"They may select their preferred option (unlimited rebooking, 2-year travel fund, or refund), until 30 days from date of departure, through the Manage Booking portal on the Cebu Pacific website," the airline said.
Other domestic and international flights will push through as scheduled, Cebu Pacific noted.
Metro Manila will remain under GCQ with "heightened and additional" restrictions until August 5, but will revert to ECQ from August 6 to 20. This comes amid the call of officials for tighter quarantine measures due to the threat of the highly contagious Delta coronavirus variant.
