ECCP at Work

The ECCP Healthcare Committee members convened its first 2020 committee meeting last 5 March. At the meeting, the group received updates on key sector topics such as the implementation of the Maximum Drug Retail Price and VAT exemption on select medicines, as well as Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations and standards on the pharmaceutical and medical devices sectors. The committee members also exchanged their views on possible engagements with health stakeholders.

Moreover, the group received a presentation from YCP Solidiance on its white paper entitled “Can Digitization Fix the Philippines’ Healthcare Challenges?”, which tackled their findings on the challenges, opportunities, and recommendations on the digitization of the healthcare sector in the Philippines.
