The ECCP, represented by its ICT-BPM-KPM Committee, joined the Joint Foreign Chambers of the Philippines in today's meeting with Department of Information and Communications Technology Undersecretary for Legal Affairs, Policy, Planning, and Finance Arturo de Castro and his staff to discuss updates on the various programs of the government in line with its thrust towards a "Digital Philippines."
Similarly, the group was able to exchange insights on other relevant policy instruments such as the open-access in data transmission approach, common tower policy, and cybersecurity-related initiatives. Lastly, the ECCP handed over the 2019 ECCP ICT-BPM-KPM Advocacy Paper which contains policy recommendations to improve the industry such as amendments to the Public Service Act and upskilling programs for the IT-BPM sector, aside from the abovementioned policy reforms.
