Last 21 February, members of the Joint Foreign Chambers and the Philippine Business Groups met with Presidential Adviser on Legislative Affairs and PLLO Head. The meeting focused on the JFC-PBG legislative priorities including Amendments to the Public Services Act, CITIRA, and the creation of a Department of Water. On a similar note, before the Congress adjourns, amendments to the Foreign Investment Act is set for 2nd reading in the Senate.
Furthermore, similarities were largely observed between the JFC-PBG's and the PLLO's list of legislative priorities. During the impending Congress recess, the Agency is also scheduled to hold cluster meetings to further review its legislative priorities moving forward.
