The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines-Davao organized a Coffee Morning with Happy Farmer entitled “Think Global, Buy Local: Happy Farmer” at Sulawes, Marco Polo Hotel Davao last 11 December 2019.
The said Coffee Morning aims to network and ask for support with the Davao business community to champion the globally competitive farm products from Mindanao.
Mr. Jesus “Jun” Ralota of Happy Farmer discussed the advocacy of their company and the dying Philippine agricultural industry including the present problems of the farmers. He also presented some of the solutions that could help the local farmers in the country such as the development of a new generation of farmers, provide the mainstream venue, buy at the fair-trade price, and order commitment.
The event was graced by ECCP SMBC members, F&B Managers from different hotels, representatives from restaurants in the city, and other key players in agriculture.
