MANILA - Authorities should loosen the restrictions on the direct hiring of Filipino workers abroad, the head of a European business group said Wednesday.
Filipino workers are sought all over the world for their skills and their proficiency in English, said Guenter Taus of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
He said an ECCP member wants to send Filipinos to work as caregivers and nurses to Germany, but some government policies make it difficult.
