The environment and natural resources department ordered hotels and similar establishments in Boracay to put up their own sewage treatment plants.
On this week's Outside Looking In, Guenter Taus, president of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, expressed his disapproval over the order. He said Boracay's water concessionaires can do a much better job of treating sewage.
