The ECCP attended the Asian Development Bank's flagship Digital Development Forum. In partnership with the Asia Society for Social Improvement and Sustainable Transformation, this year's event covered topics of seven operational priorities of ADB's newly implemented Strategy 2030 within the context of digital technologies for development in the Asia-Pacific region namely digital technologies for human development and social inclusion, ICT for gender equality, smart and liveable cities, e-agriculture and rural development, and e-governance among others.
ECCP's advocacy for achieving digital connectivity in the Philippines is also included in one of its plenary sessions where private sector stakeholders, development partners, and civil society actors discussed ways on expanding broadband connectivity in rural and remote areas, PPP options for ICT infrastructure, and preparing 5G and IoT networks.
