MANILA - The rest of the Visayas could get the tourism windfall from the six-month shutdown of Boracay that started in late April, the head of a European trade group said Wednesday.
Tourists have begun to flock to beaches in Bohol and Cebu said, Geunter Taus, president of the European Chamber of Commerce in the Philippines.
The ECCP is working on promoting Cebu tourist packages to Europeans in an upcoming trade mission, he said.
