European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines President Geunter Taus on Friday said he agrees with the government's vision of making Clark the next big economic hub in Luzon.
Finance Secretary Carlos Dominguez III on Friday said Clark would be the "next big metropolis" that would pave the way for accelerated growth in Central Luzon.
However, Taus said huge investments should be placed to make it happen.
"For Luzon, it's the best place to be but it's not going to happen overnight because the infrastructure is not there yet," Taus said.
Meanwhile, Taus fears that the country will be affected if a US-China trade war ensues, given the trade relations of the Philippines with China.
He said, if there will be a substantial impact, European businessmen might look for other countries to do business.
