More than 20 contact center firms are expected to participate in fourth Call Center Olympics that will run from April to July in various sports venues in Metro Manila.
The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines along with its partners Chris Sports and Popcorn Events will hold the four month sporting event to institutionalize a fitness program for call center companies in the country.
The organizers expect the annual meet to enhance the competitiveness of the business process outsourcing (BPO) industry by providing employees with opportunities and options to engage in a healthier lifestyle.
This year the Olympics is expected to the attract more than 3,000 call center agents who will compete in various sporting events including basketball, volleyball, bowling, badminton, table tennis, billiards, fun runs and darts.
