PASIA To Hold The 2nd Annual Ethics in Procurement & Sustainability Conference

Leading regional procurement and sourcing association to hold conference on Procurement Ethics & Sustainability Manila, Philippines-PASIA (Procurement and Sourcing Institute of Asia) will hold "The 2nd Annual Ethics in Procurement & Sustainability Conference" on October 26, 2011 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel, Philippines.  This event, held annually by PASIA, will attract advocates from regional private and public companies, members of the academe, and government representatives.  Indiividuals from small medium enterprises, and multinational companies will come together to build partnerships to foster the promotion of ethics, green practices and sustainability in procurement and supply management.

A competitive roster of speakers are lined-up, including Ms. Cindy Urbaytis from ISM (Institute for Supply Management Tempe, Arizona), Mr. Charles Holden from IFPSM (International Federation of Purchasing & Supply Management), Mr. Hubert d'Aboville of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), Ms. Christina Ooi Su Siang from Alcatel Lucent (Singapore), Mr. Martin Schreiner from Vishay Semiconductors, Mr. Sudip Mall from Kraft Foods, and Mr. Oscar Unas from De La Salle University.  Leading the conference will be Mr. Denis Nixon, Executive Director of PASIA and Mr. Walter Buczynski, Senior Consultant of PASIA.

Last year, the conference was highly successful in raising the awareness of hundreds of procurement & supply management professionals about ethics in the industry.  This year, the conference is raising the bar by showcasing Ethics in Procurement and Business Sustainability through Green Practices.  The event will focus on the strategies in ethical practices and sustainability through case studies and best practices.

The "2nd Annual Ethics in Procurement & Sustainability Conference" will also be the launchpad for the Global Ethics in Procurement & Supply Management Certification Program, an initiative in which PASIA is taking the global lead together with IFPSM and ISM.
