The country’s largest umbrella of business organizations, the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) under the leadership of president Alfredo Yao and chairman lawyer Miguel Varela organized the 40th Philippine Business Conference and Exposition (PBC) with the theme Proudly Pinoy: Partnering Towards Sustained Growth. Held at The Manila Hotel, the three-day conference highlighted the competitiveness of local industries and the world-class quality of Philippine-made products and services and gathered distinguished names from the business sector as well as the diplomatic and government sectors. The 40th PBC, headed by chairman George Barcelon, provided a venue for discussions and recommendations on how to catalyze the growing investor’s appetite on the Philippine economy, and at the same time work on the needed regulatory reforms to make a real impact on inclusive growth – creating jobs, expanding investments, developing new industries, nurturing entrepreneurs, and instilling the competitiveness mindset among local firms and enterprises. All attendees including First Credit Consultants Corporation president Grace Palma-Tiongco actively participated in the conference activities. Kudos to Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry president Alfredo Yao, chairman Miguel Varela and 40th Philippine Business Conference and Exposition chairman George Barcelon for the success of this significant event!
